Summary: The Khuddakapāṭha ("Minor Readings") is the first book of the khuddaka nikaya. In the local corpus it is currently available as a raw BJT Pali/Sinhala source reader, preserving the native tipitaka.lk page-entry segmentation rather than a fully edited wiki text rendering.

Overview

The Khuddakapāṭha is a compact anthology of recitation and instructional pieces. Its opening units cover refuge, training precepts, contemplation of the body, and a catechetical list of doctrinal sets; its later units include well-known protective and devotional suttas such as the Maṅgala Sutta, Ratana Sutta, and Mettā Sutta.

This page is an overview page only. The raw Pali and Sinhala texts have been ingested and reviewed, but a full text-page presentation with per-unit editorial notes, normalized headings, and supporting pages is deferred.

Source reader

The current raw reader uses BJT page-entry identifiers such as kn-khp:2.7. Pali and Sinhala native entry counts match in the pilot extract, but the reader still treats the files as raw source editions rather than as a finalized bilingual edition.

Structure

The BJT raw source preserves these nine units:

  1. Saraṇagamana — going for refuge to the Buddha, Dhamma, and Saṅgha
  2. Dasasikkhāpada — ten training precepts
  3. Dvattiṁsākāra — the thirty-two aspects of the body
  4. Kumārapañha — catechetical questions using numerical doctrinal sets
  5. Maṅgala Sutta — discourse on highest blessings
  6. Ratana Sutta — discourse on the three jewels
  7. Tirokuḍḍa Sutta — verses on offerings and departed relatives
  8. Nidhikaṇḍa Sutta — verses on treasure and merit
  9. Mettā Sutta — discourse on loving-kindness

Textual status

This page is backed by the reviewed raw-only Tipitaka.lk pilot for Khuddakapāṭha. The pilot extracted 122 BJT Pali rows and 122 BJT Sinhala rows from pathnirvana/tipitaka.lk; the independent raw-pilot review found no extraction defects. Sinhala republication status remains pending verification, so the Sinhala text is exposed locally through the reader but is not treated here as a public republication-ready translation.
