Terms of Service

These terms govern access to SuttaWiki, a research and reading interface for Theravāda texts and editorial knowledge pages.

Service purpose

SuttaWiki supports study, source navigation, editorial review, and evidence-grounded exploration. It is not a substitute for qualified religious, academic, medical, legal, or other professional advice.

Accounts and security

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and recovery codes, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. We may restrict or remove access when necessary to protect the service, its users, or its sources.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, evade access controls, interfere with operation, submit unlawful or harmful material, scrape protected account areas, or misrepresent generated or editorial-preview material as reviewed authority.

Sources, editorial provenance, and licenses

Canonical texts, translations, and other source materials retain the provenance and license recorded for each source. Wiki pages are editorial interpretations downstream of those sources. Reuse source material only under its applicable license and attribution requirements.

Experimental answers

Ask and Exploratory Chat can return incomplete, uncertain, or incorrect results. Citations and evidence should be checked against the linked source material before an answer is relied upon or republished.

Availability and changes

The service may change, pause, lose preview data, or become unavailable. We may update these terms as the product and its operating requirements evolve; the effective date above identifies the current version.
