Definition: Jhāna-paccaya is the seventeenth of the twenty-four paccayas named in the Paṭṭhāna. Its canonical definition states that the jhāna factors are the absorption-condition for associated dhammas and for the material form arisen from them (Paṭṭh 2; Paṭṭh 45).
Stub: pilot. This page records the canonical Abhidhamma definition first; fuller comparison with other paccayas belongs to later paccaya-family expansion.
