Summary: Paṭācārā's story — losing her husband, children, and parents in a series of disasters before reaching the Buddha — is one of the most tragic in the canon's narrative tradition. She went forth and attained arahantship. Her canonical verses (Thig 5.10 (cited; not yet ingested)) are among the most direct in the Therīgāthā. The Dhammapada-aṭṭhakathā attributes Dhp 113 (Paṭācārātherīvatthu) to her story (commentary — not canonical).
