Summary: Godhika is the bhikkhu of SN 4.23 (cited; not yet ingested) who, after attaining and losing temporary liberation six times, took his own life on the seventh attainment in order to secure it — and in doing so, according to the sutta, attained final parinibbāna as an arahant. Māra then searched for his re-linking consciousness and could not find it. The Dhammapada-aṭṭhakathā ties this narrative to Dhp 57 (Māra cannot find the path of the accomplished one).
