Definition: In the Abhidhamma matrices, akusala names unwholesome dhammas. It is the second term of the Dhammasaṅgaṇī's opening triad and marks the ethically blameworthy side of conditioned mental life (Dhs 2).

Stub: pilot. This page marks the core Abhidhamma classification first; wider canonical usage remains for later expansion.
